You’ll also find directions to my books and two optional computerized assessments that form the foundation of the Know Yourself / Grow Yourself series—one focused on behavioral characteristics and personal drivers, the other on emotional intelligence.

The assessments are not required, but many students find that they enrich the learning experience and make the course more personally meaningful. As a courtesy, they are offered to OLLI participants at a substantially reduced price and are available only through this site.

Know Yourself, Grow Yourself: Understanding Your Behavioral Style, and What Motivates/Drives You!

This five-week course is designed for adults who want to better understand themselves and how they interact in the world. The course helps you understand how your natural style, personal motivators, and current level of engagement shape the way you show up in life and work. It highlights what energizes you, where you may feel drained, and how to create more satisfying interactions and activities. Participants gain clear, personalized insights they can use immediately to improve communication and fulfillment in relationships, volunteer roles, community work, employment, and everyday life.

This five‑week course explores emotional intelligence through using a personalized assessment that helps participants understand how emotions influence their decisions, relationships, and well‑being. Each person receives a personalized assessment and learns practical strategies for self‑awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation. Through discussion, real‑life examples, and guided reflection, participants build the skills to navigate stress, communicate more effectively, and strengthen the connections that matter most.
